We got properly briefed by the board of directors of the Frankfurt Palmengarten to think of a new signage or their visual appearance. The guidance system called for a way bigger challenge, as I got lost the first times I went there on my own, thus my huge zeal for this project.
My quest for the perfect solution kind of got me in trouble with my tutor, but after weeks of pure conceptional brain-work, I finally started producing stuff to show the rest of the class.
In the end, all the endless hours of drawing lines, running more and more less helpless through the garden, getting chatted up by parrots,
I came up with a system that solved all the problems visitors encounter on their trip.
The park's director believed me.

Veins arise pinnately from a single mid-vein and subdivide into veinlets. These, in turn, form a complicated network [...]; the leaf has usually one main vein (called the mid-vein), with veinlets, smaller veins branching off laterally, usually somewhat parallel to each other"

THEMATIC ZONES
Just as the water in plants starts at the core and makes it way to the outer cells of the organism, my guidance system is based on a main circuit, that offers veins to all important places in the garden. additionally, the whole Palmengarten is subdivided into theme-segments.
